The Journey Behind Our Mission

My journey into the world of literacy and learning differences began nearly 20 years ago, when my own children were diagnosed with dyslexia. What started as a mother’s determination to understand her children’s needs quickly grew into a lifelong passion. I chose to homeschool and immersed myself in learning everything I could about dyslexia, structured literacy, and how diverse learners thrive.

Along the way, I discovered not only effective tools and approaches, but also how overwhelming the process can feel for families trying to navigate school systems, evaluations, and support services. That experience shaped my mission: to empower children and families with clarity, confidence, and compassionate guidance.

Today, I bring that same dedication to every student I work with—combining multisensory instruction, deep knowledge of learning differences, and a belief that every child deserves to feel capable and supported. My work is rooted in advocacy, evidence-based practice, and a genuine commitment to helping learners grow both academically and emotionally.

Expertise and Specialized Training

With nearly two decades of experience teaching diverse learners, I specialize in using multisensory, research‑based approaches to strengthen skills in both reading and math. I am a Florida‑certified Reading and Exceptional Student Education teacher with extensive training in structured literacy, intervention planning, and evidence‑based instructional practices.

I have also served as a Local Educational Agency (LEA) representative, facilitating IEP meetings and collaborating with families, teachers, and service providers to ensure students receive the individualized support they need. My background in advocacy, compliance, and student‑centered problem‑solving allows me to guide families with clarity and confidence while delivering high‑quality, targeted instruction.

Advocating for Student Success

Understanding the special education process is just as important as the instruction itself. We are here to guide families through IEP and 504 meetings, ensuring that every student's voice is heard and their educational rights are protected.
